Private Education
In person or Virtual

Cost: $50 p hr (+HST)

Sometimes a group class is not suitable for every person or their situation.

CBK offers Private Classes, one-on-one with a Childbirth Educator where information is easily tailored and specific to your particular circumstance, and the timing of each session is flexible.

A private class is generally completed in 1, 2 or 3 sessions, in your home or at our Studio space.

Arrangements are made on a case by case basis!

Book a Private Education Session

Private education can take place in the CBK studio, or we can come to your home.

We prefer to hold private sessions in our CBK teaching space, where we have access to all of our materials and resources.

Private sessions have a 4-hour minimum. A single session may be up to 8 hours (with breaks). If you book more than 4 hours, the time can be divided into multiple sessions—for example, a 6-hour booking can be split into two 3-hour sessions.

Thanks for booking!

The CBK difference

It starts with Physiology

Every one of our classes begins with the physiology of birth—the way your body is designed to work. Human beings have carried this knowledge and succeeded in birthing for millennia, and we build on that foundation with modern tools, research, and support. By starting here, we help you understand the natural process first, so you can feel grounded and confident as you explore your options and choices.

Evidence Based Options

We are passionate about providing families with the most up-to-date, evidence-based information available.  We believe that having clear information on options, benefits, risks, and alternatives is one of the best ways to feel confident and supported in your birth and postpartum journey.

Support for Support Person(s)

All our registration fees are for 2! Bring your Partner, friend, mother or whoever else will be supporting you! Everyone deserves to feel informed, confident, and ready to support you (and themselves!).

Community

We do our best to place you in classes with others expecting around the same time. This helps you learn alongside peers who are on a similar journey—and it’s often the first step in building a supportive community that carries into the postpartum period.

We have multiple programs to help everyone stay in touch including: Postpartum Reunions, Birth Sharing Circles, and our Call from a Doula program.

"I feel like 200% less scared!!!"

My anxiety surrounding labour and delivery was put at ease after completing this course. I have already recommended this class to close friends of mine!

"Much better than the internet, great place to meet others in the same position. Good to talk and learn about a large variety of subjects. Highly recommend!"

“Birth Doulaing - The act of educating, loving, respecting, listening, embracing, advocating for, and assisting a person prenatally during labour, childbirth and after”

"Birth is not only about making babies. It is also about making parents. Strong, competent, capable parents who trust themselves and their inner strength."
