Your Community Partners
KAPS (Kingston Area Pregnancy and Postpartum Professionals Network) is a collective of community providers dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Each practitioner brings a holistic approach to care—recognizing not only the physical needs of these transitions, but also the significant mental and emotional weight they carry. Together, KAPS offers a connected network of resources designed to help families feel supported, understood, and well cared for at every stage.
Your Mental Health Team
The KAPS Mental Health practitioners specialize in supporting the emotional and psychological transition of pregnancy, birth, and early family building. With a deep understanding of how transformative—and sometimes overwhelming—these moments can be, they offer compassionate, trauma-informed care to help families feel grounded and supported. As partners of the Birth Reflection Tool, they also help guide meaningful processing of birth experiences, ensuring families have the space and support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
Your Comfort + Recovery Team
The KAPS Comfort + Recovery Team includes practitioners who support your healing after birth while also offering care during pregnancy for comfort and birth preparation. They understand that perinatal care isn’t just about physical recovery—it’s about your holistic well-being, including emotional balance, confidence, and overall comfort. These providers create safe, compassionate spaces where you can explore treatment options, ask questions, and receive individualized support as your body and mind move through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Your Feeding Support Team
The KAPS Feeding Support Team is made up of practitioners across Kingston who are dedicated to helping you succeed in your infant feeding goals—however you choose to feed your baby. They provide compassionate, evidence-informed guidance that supports both the physical and emotional sides of feeding, from chest/breastfeeding and pumping to formula use and combination feeding. These practitioners offer safe, non-judgmental spaces where you can ask questions, troubleshoot challenges, and find the support that feels right for you and your family.
Your Community Circle
The KAPS Community Circle is where you find your village—other parents and caregivers moving through the same milestones, learning curves, and big transitions. These community supports help you stay connected to adults, build meaningful relationships, and feel less alone in the early days of parenting. Finding community isn’t just comforting; it’s an essential part of thriving as you grow into this new season of life.
