Facts + Questions

Our FAQ page is here to answer your most common questions and help you quickly find clear, straightforward information about our services, what to expect, and how to decide what support and education is right for you!

What do we cover in our Birth Classes?

Our childbirth education classes focus on late pregnancy and what to expect during labour and birth. We talk about how you feel about birth and help you think through your preferences so you can prepare for the kind of experience you’re hoping for.

You’ll learn about your options, how to share your wishes with your care provider, and what you can do during pregnancy to support your body and your goals—whatever your birth looks like.

We cover the stages of labour, how birth can unfold in different ways, common medical interventions, and physiological birth. Partners also learn practical ways to support the birthing person through each phase of labour, especially during the early stages.

What do we cover in our PP workshop?

Our postpartum workshops focus on long-term planning and support, helping you feel prepared not just for the early days, but for the months that follow.

We talk through realistic strategies for sleep, nourishment and recovery, infant feeding options, setting boundaries, building community support, and protecting your mental health and sense of connection.

You’ll learn about the full range of options available so you can make informed choices that align with your values, your goals, and the needs of your family. These workshops are about creating a postpartum plan that supports your well-being and helps you thrive, not just survive.

Can I bring my Partner with me?

Absolutely! We strongly encourage you to bring your Partner or the person who will be supporting you through pregnancy and birth. Having shared access to the same information helps you plan together, communicate clearly, and feel confident that you’re on the same page every step of the way.

What is the difference between the different Birth class options?

All of our Childbirth education classes cover the same core content—the difference is in the format, so you can choose what best fits your schedule and learning style.

  • 7-Week In-Person Series: Ideal if you prefer to take in information gradually. Weekly sessions allow time to process, practice, and retain what you’re learning.

  • Weekend Class: A great option if time is limited or if you’re looking for a refresher and already have some birth experience.

  • Private Education: Best for families who want a more personalized approach. While we cover the essential information, sessions are tailored to your specific goals, circumstances, and questions.
