Postpartum Workshops

Our small, welcoming classes create space for questions, conversation, and learning with knowledgeable instructors.
Prepare for Postpartum
In generations past, new parents were surrounded by family and community—people who cooked, cleaned, and cared for us so that recovery and bonding could take center stage. Today, many of us live more independently, so preparing for postpartum helps rebuild that for ourselves. By thinking ahead about your emotional, physical, and practical needs, you can create the village of support that allows you to heal, adjust, and truly thrive in your early weeks with baby.

Book a Private Education Session
Private education can take place in the CBK studio, or we can come to your home.
We prefer to hold private sessions in our CBK teaching space, where we have access to all of our materials and resources.

Private sessions have a 4-hour minimum. A single session may be up to 8 hours (with breaks). If you book more than 4 hours, the time can be divided into multiple sessions—for example, a 6-hour booking can be split into two 3-hour sessions.
Extra Workshops
Alongside our core classes, we offer additional workshops led by CBK educators and trusted community professionals. These sessions explore specific topics in more depth, helping you keep learning, connect with others, and build your village through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

The CBK difference
It Starts with Postpartum Physiology
Our classes begin with a clear understanding of how your body transitions and heals after birth. Postpartum physiology—hormonal shifts, physical recovery, emotional changes, and feeding patterns—forms the foundation of everything that follows. When you know what’s happening in your body and why, you can move into the fourth trimester feeling grounded, prepared, and supported.
Evidence Based Options
We are committed to providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based information available. From postpartum healing and mental health to infant feeding, sleep, and support systems, we walk you through your options with clarity—outlining benefits, risks, and realistic expectations. Knowledge is one of the strongest tools you can bring into your postpartum journey.
Support for Support Person(s)
Every registration includes two participants! Bring your partner, a friend, a parent, or anyone who will be part of your postpartum support team. Everyone deserves to feel informed, confident, and prepared for the changes and challenges of early parenthood.
Community
We do our best to place you in classes with others expecting around the same time. This helps you learn alongside peers who are on a similar journey—and it’s often the first step in building a supportive community that carries into the postpartum period.
We have multiple programs to help everyone stay in touch including: Postpartum Reunions, Birth Sharing Circles, and our Call from a Doula program.

"As first time parents, heading into this new phase of life the information provided by CBK has helped us to feel more confident and prepared for the road ahead. We left with practical tools and resources we can use to support our journey, alongside a greater perspective about what to expect and how to manage expectations going forward.
There's value in this course for everyone on the road to parenthood!"
